Today we had a visit from Daisy’s daddy, Dr Williams.

He brought his doctor’s bag with him and showed us how to use lots of different things.

Afterwards we wanted to play doctors and nurses. We had lots of fun!!

Thank you Doctor Williams for visiting!

The Gruffalo01-12-2016 | 18:26:05 | 1 Comment

This week we have read the story of ‘The Gruffalo’. The children have really enjoyed reading this story and can now recite parts of the story from memory. They’ve loved role playing the story with masks and have even been independently role playing with resources left out in their choice activities.

A huge well done to all of the nursery!

This week the children were set a task…

They had to pick up the ‘worms’ in the ‘birds beaks’. This involved them squeezing the pegs to open them. This activity strengthens the muscles in the hand which later helps with writing. What a challenge this was!

A big well done to all of the children – all the worms were caught before they wiggled off!
